Why Is The Flag Half-Staff On Friday?

Flags will be at half-staff on government buildings on Friday. Here's why.

CONCORD, N.H. - Governor Chris Sununu has directing flags on all public buildings and grounds to fly at half-staff in observance of the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Ceremony on Friday, May 18, 2018.

“We will never forget the commitment and sacrifice made by our state’s fallen heroes forever memorialized at our Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “Our officers work tirelessly on the front lines every day and truly embody the spirit of selflessness and public service found only in the bravest amongst us. We are forever grateful for their continued courage and sacrifice."
