Winter Storm Watch: Heavy Snowfall Possible Across New Hampshire

A Nor'Easter heading to New England is expected to bring snow Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon.

CONCORD, NH — Forecasters at the National Weather Service are warning of a storm that has the potential to bring "significant snowfall" to some parts of New Hampshire — leading to low visibility on the roads Monday night into Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a "winter storm watch" in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening for portions of Southwest Maine and Southern New Hampshire.

The weather service said heavy snow is possible, and predicted snow accumulations of between 2 inches and 4 inches in Concord, but 6 inches "or more," with wind gusts as high as 35 mph across the region. AccuWeather.com predicted between 6 inches and a foot of snow for the region.

"Travel could be very difficult due to low visibility and snow covered roads," the National Weather Service said in an alert Saturday. "The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Strong winds could lead to blowing snow and reduced visibilities."
