LACONIA, NH — A former Concord resident was arrested in Laconia on Monday accused of attacking a store clerk with a knife during a robbery at a convenience store.

Police were sent to the Circle K on Union Avenue around 1:25 a.m. for a report of a robbery. According to an affidavit, a woman came into the store and attempted to steal New Hampshire Lottery scratch tickets. The store clerk was attacked during the robbery and then the suspect fled on foot.

Police took a statement from the victim — who had a laceration on the right side of her face from the top of her head to her ear, a stab wound on her shoulder, a cut on her left breast, and one on her thumb, according to an affidavit. The victim accused the suspect of also taking away her phone when she tried to call 911. The woman was described as having blonde hair in a ponytail.

An officer, searching the area for a suspect, spotted a woman in the area of Wallace Court near Bisson Avenue and who was walking on Messer Street toward the railroad tracks near Irwin Motors. The woman, the officer noted, had blonde hair in a ponytail. The officer stopped the woman and ordered her to drop the objects she had in her hands to the ground.

"I identified that the objects were that of lottery tickets, which were placed on the ground," the officer wrote.

A sergeant arrived and the suspect was identified as Timiah Wilkins, 23, of an unknown address. She was then handcuffed with the reporting officer noting she had "blood on her hands and face." When asked if she was injured, the affidavit said Wilkins replied, No.

Wilkins was charged with robbery-weapon, two counts of first-degree assault, obstructing report of a crime or injury, and breach of bail. She had a bail hearing on Thursday and was held on preventive detention.

The reporting officer noted Wilkins was out on bail from Belknap County Superior Court after a previous robbery on Feb. 6.

In that case, according to an affidavit, Wilkins was accused of a home invasion on Winnisquam Avenue in Laconia.

Police received a call from a child around 6:15 p.m. who reported his mother was robbed inside her home. The suspect then fled.

Police arrived and spoke to the victim who stated she heard a knock on the door and when she answered it, a young woman she did not know asked to use her phone. The woman stated she needed to call a family member because her scooter had to be charged.

The victim let the woman use her landline but when asked what her mother's name was, the woman stated, "That's none of your concern." After handing her the phone, the victim accused the woman of grabbing her arm around her neck in a chokehold and "pressed something with a pointed edge into her neck," an affidavit stated.

"Give me all your money," she accused the young woman of saying. "Give me everything you have."

The woman then released the victim and fled the home with the phone, the report said.

A detective noted the woman had a small laceration on her neck. The victim said it was not a knife but could have been a key, according to a report.

About 10 minutes later, on Charles Street, police received a call about someone knocking on a back door of a home but when the woman answered, there was no one there. The woman saw fresh footprints in the snow leading to her basement though, the detective wrote.

When police arrived, they found a scooter in the driveway that did not belong to the homeowner and a K-9 unit was called to track the snow prints. The prints led to Fair Street and the Dollar Tree near the cemetery. There, according to the affidavit, police found a woman "balled up and hiding from officers," the affidavit stated. Officers attempted to take her into custody but she was accused of refusing to obey commands and even tried to light a cigarette during the process. After struggling, officers were able to get her into handcuffs, the report said.

At police headquarters, officers accused the woman of being uncooperative and giving a false name but they were able to get her name from a prescription bottle in her bag.

Wilkins was charged with robbery, simple assault, and criminal trespass. She was held on preventive detention but released on March 28.

After a number of minor crimes as a teenager in Concord, Wilkins was arrested on a felony drug charge in Boscawen and pleaded guilty to the charge in July 2017. In September 2017, she was accused of deal-possess prescription drugs and false report to law enforcement in Rochester and pleaded guilty to the charges in May 2018. She was found guilty of a probation violation at that time. Two months later, she was accused of theft in Concord and was arrested on numerous drug charges, receiving stolen property, and resisting arrest in Bow. Wilkins was also charged with delivery of weapon or contraband at the Merrimack County Jail. In the jail, in September 2018, she was accused of two assault charges and in November 2018, she was accused of assault at the Concord women's prison.

A year later, the jail charges were dismissed along with a number of the charges in Bow. In May 2019, she was accused of felony receiving stolen property and driving after revocation or suspension. The charges were dismissed after a competency hearing.
