Shore towns are bustling with activity as more annual events have returned after the pandemic canceled them last year.

Blueberries At The Beach
Free blueberries will be given to beachgoers in Wildwood, Atlantic City and Seaside Heights on Thursday afternoon for National Blueberry Day.

New Jersey annually ranks in the top six states in the U.S. for the production of blueberries, according to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture.
Blueberries will be available between 1 and 4 p.m., or until supplies last, at the end of East Schellenberger Avenue at the boardwalk near Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, at the end of New York Avenue on the boardwalk near Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in Atlantic City and along the boardwalk in Seaside Heights.
Sand Sculpting Festival
A sand sculpting contest in Wildwood Crest will be free to all participants and spectators on Friday, July 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sculptures will be judged on creativity, execution, composition and overall presentation, and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each division. The contest will be held rain or shine.
Activities featured at this year’s festival include horseshoes, cornhole and other games, as well as live music throughout the day. The “Hocus-Pocus It’s Joe Fischer” Magic Show is also scheduled for 11 a.m.
NJ State Barbecue Championship and Anglesea Blues Festival
This open-air festival in North Wildwood promises to showcase the best in barbecue and blues.
The festival features live cooking demonstrations, barbecue vendors and national blues musicians over three days from July 9-11.
Barbecue teams from around the country will show off their skills in a championship competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS), a large association of barbecue enthusiasts.
The festival will be located within walking distance of the Historic Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and the free beach at Anglesea Inlet, in the heart of the Anglesea Entertainment District.
LBI Arts Festival
Art, clothing, jewelry and more will be for sale at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences’ annual festival on Saturday, July 10.
The festival will include indoor and outdoor booths, live music and food from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Handmade, original work of all mediums will be showcased from both new and seasoned artisans.
The annual Foundation Art Festival is one of the largest events on Long Beach Island featuring a vibrant arts community with patrons, collectors and visitors from across the country.
Entry to the festival costs $1 and a rain date is scheduled for Sunday, July 11.
Live Music In Ocean City
The Ocean City Pops will perform celebratory favorites and classics at the Music Pier during their "Grand Re-Opening" concert on Sunday, July 11.
There will be two identical performances at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Each show lasts approximately 45 minutes. Tickets are $10 and seating will be general admission.
Live music in Ocean City continues Monday when The Machine performs the music of Pink Floyd as a laser show lights up the stage. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier, 825 Boardwalk. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster or the Music Pier Box Office.
