Alice Marie Feather Of Manahawkin Dies At 90

Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27 at St. Francis R.C. Church in Long Beach Township

Alice Marie Feather (nee Endriss) of Manahawkin, passed away on January 15, 2018. She was 90.

Alice was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Abington, where she raised her family. She spent many summers in Beach Haven Park, and permanently retired to Long Beach Island in 1996. She worked for 25 years as a court manager for the Montgomery County court system. When she was younger, Alice spent many years leading the Girl Scout Troop and participated in the local bowling league.

She was a member of the Beach Haven Park Yacht Club and a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Brant Beach. She volunteered at the parish and enjoyed her responsibilities as a Eucharistic Minister. Some of her other activities included relaxing on the beach and gardening.

Mrs. Feather was predeceased by her husband, Albert Feather in 1973, her son John in 2004 and her sister, Elaine Dietz. She is survived by her children, Eileen Knight and her husband Kip, Mariann Slickers and her husband Al III., James Feather and his wife, Kathleen, grandchildren Christine Sanchez (Jeremy), Albert Slickers IV (Kim Pellom), Jamie Payne (Charles), Rachel Cusick, John Feather (Angela) and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard in Brant Beach, NJ 08008. Inurnment will be held later at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, in Langhorne, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish at the above address. Cremation was private and under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Ship Bottom.
