Barnegat High School Goes Virtual Due To Coronavirus Case
Barnegat High School will transition to a fully virtual model for two weeks.
BARNEGAT, NJ—Barnegat High School will transition to a full virtual model beginning Monday through December due to a confirmed case of coronavirus in the school. The temporary transition to virtual learning is specific to Barnegat High School and will not apply to other schools in the district.
“Our top priority is to safety operate in the school building, and due to staffing concerns related to mandated quarantines, Barnegat High School will transition to a fully virtual model from November 23, 2020 to December 6, 2020,” Principal Patrick Magee said in a letter posted to the district’s website.
Health officials have personally notified people who were in close contact with the individual. The letter did not disclose their identity due to privacy requirements.
