Barnegat Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

BARNEGAT, NJ - Winter Storm Jonas brought between two to three feet of snow to New Jersey causing approximately 90,000 power outages and coastal flooding in the southern part of the state.

As of Monday, the State of Emergency has been lifted, power has been restored to most of NJ and bridges and tunnels to New York City have been reopened.

Still, hundreds of New Jersey school districts announced closures and motorists are warned to continue driving with extra caution.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

  • “Not at all. Only came down the street once. All cars were off the street but the plow just went down the middle of the street and plowed in everyone’s driveway.”
  • “Barnegat did a HORRIBLE JOB. Let’s see, I have a friend who can’t move the snow herself, due to neck issues and they piled a huge mount of snow right in front her drive way.”
  • “Edison was plowed pretty good, my only complaint is why do you push all the snow into the driveways when across the street is the wildlife refuge?”
  • “’I’m in Barnegat. My street was done great. They came by three times on Saturday.”
  • “Thank you for your excellent job.”
