Barnegat School Welcomes Back Students With Parody Rap Video
Don't call it a comeback. Russell O. Brackman Middle School added another music video to its repertoire.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Schools needed to make extensive preparations for the upcoming year. For Russell O. Brackman Middle School, that also meant producing a rap video.
Principal Shannon Smith posted the video, "Back Again," which welcomed students back for the first day of in-person learning Wednesday.
Although rapping isn't their day job, don't call them one-hit wonders. Smith has collaborated with school staff to produce several parody music videos. Back in March, she posted "Fresh Prince(ipal) of Barnegat" — a tune about remote learning to the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" theme song. "Back Again" parodies "Big Bank" by YG featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj. Smith and Assistant Principal Jared Burke put the video together, while Smith and chorus teacher Erich Wald wrote the lyrics and rapped.

"We had a smooth opening today!" Smith told Patch in an email. "Excited to be back with our students in the halls!"
