Barnegat's Finucan Beats Buzzer In Upset Over Lacey
Brian Finucan converted a 3-pointer before the buzzer to clinch Barnegat's 48-46 victory.
The Barnegat boys basketball team pulled off a miracle. Down by a point against Lacey on Monday night, Bengals senior Brian Finucan sank a deep 3-pointer to beat the buzzer and pull off the 48-46 upset.
Sean Morris scored 16 points, and Jaxon Baker recorded 15 points for Barnegat (6-11), according to Tapinto. Carl Sweson scored 20, and Jordan Cohen scored 10 for Lacey (10-6), according to Tapinto.
Lacey entered the fourth quarter with a 44-36 lead. Barnegat outscored the Lions, 12-2, in the fourth quarter to clinch the comeback.
