Boys Swim Team Wins Barnegat's 1st-Ever State Sectional Title
The Barnegat boys swimming team defeated Cedar Creek, 106-64, in the South Jersey Group C final.

Barnegat High School finally filled a void in its trophy case. The Barnegat boys swim team captured the first state sectional championship in school history Thursday.
The Bengals defeated Cedar Creek, 106-64, in the South Jersey Group C Sectional Championship at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology.
"There is no group more deserving of such an amazing accomplishment," coach Rebecca Kane tweeted. "Each one of you gave it your all & look what you did as a team- you made Barnegat HISTORY."

Barnegat posted 28 personal-best times at the meet, including two broken school records, according to nj.com. Senior Dylan Cappucio set a new record in the 200 individual medley with 2:11.33. Senior Kyle Smith broke his own record with 55.76 in the 100 butterfly, nj.com reported.
