Caught On Camera: This Dog Was Taken From Its Barnegat Home

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, NJ - Nieko is missing and he may have been stolen.

Lost Dogs Search and Rescue posted surveillance photos of a woman picking up the little dog at the outside of his Barnegat home on the rescue's Facebook page .

"Nieko was picked up by this woman in front of his house," the post states. "Please share this post in hopes someone knows her. She has not contacted animal control or police. Please contact Barnegat police with any details 609-698-5000."

Owner Jo Mihn said Nieko, who is 13 and weighs 16 pounds, was last seen around 2 p.m. in the Brookville area on West Bay Avenue. He is a black maltipoo and his family wants him back. The police have been notified, she said on her Facebook page.

Matt Geissinger, co-founder of the rescue group, also asks that people watch for the woman trying to sell him Miko.
