Chipotle To Open Manahawkin Restaurant On Wednesday

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — It's almost here. Chipotle Mexican Grill announced it will open its Manahawkin location at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. The first 50 customers in line will receive "Chipotle swag," according to a company spokesperson.

Chipotle will open on Route 72 at the site of the former Sonic drive-in at Martin Truex Jr. Boulevard — next to the Xfinity Retail Store. This will be Chipotle's only southern Ocean County location — they have three restaurants in northern Ocean.

Regular hours are 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A Chipotle spokesperson told Patch in October that they expected the Manahawkin location to open late winter. Chipotle is arriving early — technically a few days before the official start of winter.
