Chowderfest Is Cancelled In Advance Of Coming Storms
No new date set as of yet for popular annual Beach Haven event.

This year’s Chowderfest organizers tried their best to ensure that the popular annual event in Beach Haven would go on, despite two back-to-back storms.
The tents had already been set up earlier this week.
But today event organizers cancelled Chowderfest after Gov. Chris Christie issued a state of emergency.

“In accordance to the State of Emergency issued by Governor Christie regarding the uncertainty of pending storm and for the safety of our Chowderfest guests, volunteers and first responders we cannot hold Chowderfest this weekend,” the Facebook page states. “Any decisions on next steps will not be made until all threats of this hurricane have been removed from our community. We wish everyone a safe week.”
Patch will update if and when a new date is set.
