Corinne E. Bennett Of Haven Beach On LBI, Dies At 89

Corinne E. Bennett of the Haven Beach section of Long Beach Township, died on Tuesday, May 8 at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor. She was 89.

Corinne was born in Teaneck and moved to Haven Beach 41 years ago. She was the owner and operator of Edgewater Reality in Ship Bottom, where she worked as a real estate broker. Corinne graduated from Packard Business School in New York City. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Brant Beach.

Corinne was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, John "Jack" Bennett, in 1994. She is survived by her daughter JoAnne Tallon and her husband Tom of Ship Bottom, her sons Dr. Robert Bennett and his wife Carolyn of Shrewsbury, NJ and David Bennett, Esq. of Jupiter, FL; three granddaughters Kelly and Courtney Tallon of Sydney, Australia and Katie Merkley of Broomfield, CO. She is also survived by her grand dogs and grand cats.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 13th and Long Beach Boulevard in Surf City, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Beach View Avenue, in Manahawkin. Arrangements are under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Ship Bottom.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Southern Ocean County Animal Facility, 360 Haywood Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 or the Stafford Township First Aid Squad, 365 E. Bay Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 in Corinne's memory.
