Eagleswood Dog Missing For Two Weeks Is Home Safe

Grateful owners thank all who searched for him.

EALESWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Chances are, the D'Ambrosio family will be sleeping easier from now on.

That's because Loki, their rescue dog who went missing more than two weeks ago, is finally home.

"They say it takes a village," Suzanne D'Ambrosio wrote on her Facebook Page. "It truly did...from every single sighting to every single prayer and to those unnamed folks who gave their time, skills and patience to get our boy back! From deep in my heart, I and my family thank you all!!!"

The last two weeks were one agonizing sighting after another. The family even used a professional dog searcher to find the 40-pound pup.

Loki was spotted by the dog searcher and others in the area many times, but he eluded everyone until Sunday. Fortunately, he stayed in the West Creek area and did not stray far.

The family had adopted the 2.5-year-old dog only hours before he went missing. The pup was playing in the backyard with the family when he slipped out of his leash and collar, according to the family's Facebook page.
