House Fire Under Investigation In Manahawkin
A Manahawkin home became fully engulfed in flames on Saturday. Authorities said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A home in the Coves section of Manahawkin became fully engulfed in flames on Saturday, authorities said.
The Stafford Township Fire Company responded to a report of a structure fire on Clyde Lane at 5:48 p.m.
Chief O’Neill upgraded the assignment to a second alarm after authorities saw a visible column of smoke. The second alarm added Barnegat Fire Company and a FAST Team from Forked River Fire Company.

The home was fully engulfed in flames on arrival, authorities said. Residents and neighbors safely evacuated their homes.
Authorities requested two additional engines from Eagleswood Fire Company and Parkertown Fire Company for manpower.

Adjacent homes sustained damage due to the radiant heat, authorities said. Firefighters were able to cool the melted siding on the exposed homes and determined that there was no fire inside.
Clyde Lane and Jeremy Lane were closed for several hours while units extinguished the fire.
Stafford EMS provided rehab alongside Stafford Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.
Ship Bottom Fire Company and Tuckerton Fire Company stood by in Stafford Township to provide fire protection while Stafford units controlled the fire.
The fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshall and the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention.
