LBI's Pearl Street Market Closes Due To Coronavirus
Pearl Street Market temporarily closed after someone who entered the store tested positive for COVID-19.

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — Pearl Street Market temporarily closed because someone who entered the store tested positive for the coronavirus, the business announced Tuesday. They became the second prominent Long Beach Island business in recent days to temporarily shutter because of potential COVID-19 exposure.
"We have consulted with the Long Beach Island Health Department, local doctors offices, and others who have experienced this unfortunate situation before us," owners Reed and Abigail Johnson said in a note to customers.
Before closing, Pearl Street Market allowed a limited number of customers in the store at a time. They advised people to practice social distancing, and face coverings were mandatory as per state law. The gourmet market also created a designated station outside the store for pickup orders.
