LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — Little Egg Harbor police will increase patrols to target fireworks violations beginning Fourth of July weekend through the rest of summer.

Though ground-based fireworks are legal in New Jersey, aerial fireworks, such as bottle rockets, Roman candles and firecrackers remain illegal.

Little Egg Harbor police are vowing a crackdown on illegal fireworks after reports of fireworks-related injuries and structure damage have increased in recent years.
