Look Closely At This Photo Snapped On LBI. What Is That Fin?

A mom snapped this picture on LBI today. Do you see that fin in the background? What does it look like to you?

A mom relaxing on a Jersey Shore beach with her son Friday afternoon snapped a photo that is raising questions. Specifically, what is that fin in the water close to the shoreline?

Jenna Beistline said she was relaxing around 12:30 p.m. at the beach on 17th Street in Surf City. Her son was playing in the sand, and she snapped some photos.

It was a typical summer day moment.

It wasn't until Beistline got home later in the day and was looking at the photos when she noticed something in the water, very close to the shoreline, behind her son: A fin of sorts. What type of animal it was is not known.

Beistline, who shared her photo with Patch, said the lifeguards did not pull swimmers out of the water at the time. She said she didn't even notice it in the water at the time the photo was taken.

She says she's shown the photo to a few people, and most think it is a ray of some sort.

Here's the picture so you can see for yourself. What does it look like to you?
