In 1971 he settled in Tuckerton to raise his family on these precious waters. Employed in the 1970s through 1990 as a dairy manager for ACME Markets, he became a familiar face to all in the community. He served with the Tuckerton Fire Company and cooked the infamous Tuckerton Fire Company roast beef dinner for many years.
He delivered clams for Parsons Seafood to Philadelphia and operated the mosquito spraying truck to make ends meet until starting White Water Floor Service, a company he started with his wife, in 1990. Employing his sons and many local "ol boys", he continued to be a familiar and relied upon resource on the waters of these bays.

Known by most locals as "Bay Rat", Mike not only learned the waters of these areas and the fishing skills most will never attain, but he mastered them. Sharing his knowledge and experience with those blessed enough to be in his circle, he made many "good fisherman" into who they are today. He was a true "old man of the sea."
Mike was predeceased by his father, Frank Morrin, his brother Frank "Frannie" Morrin and his sister Margaret Morrin. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou Brown, his mother Margaret Morrin, two siblings Timothy and Wendy Morrin and Maryann Keiser, five children, Michael and Toni Morrin, Bernadette and Vince Herbert, Christine Sands Bennett and David Bennett, John Morrin and Angela and Danny Morrin and Marci and fellow son and daughter Josh and Linda Peterson and their daughter Jozlyn. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, whom all enjoyed fishing with "Pop Pop," Katie, Ali, Logan, John, Clayton, Leah, Julia and Michael.
