Over 200 Southern Regional Seniors Receive Scholarship Awards

On scholarship night, 968 awards were given to 282 Southern Regional seniors and two students received Military Academy appointments.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Graduating students were recognized for their achievements last week at Southern Regional High School's scholarship night.

On May 27, 968 scholarship awards were presented to 282 students of the class of 2021 by 315 donor organizations. The awards totaled $595,513.

Chief school administrator, Craig Henry, opened the evening expressing thanks to the community for supporting Southern Regional students.

This was followed by the presentation of the Military Academy appointments.

John P. Prosperi received an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy and Edward P. Hummel received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
