Pinelands Student Creates Birthday Kits For Families In Need
A Pinelands Regional School student crafted birthday party pans, complete with cake mix, candles and plates, for struggling families.
STAFFORD, NJ — For families struggling to buy food or secure permanent housing, it can be a challenge to budget for birthday celebrations.
Antonio Guerrero, an eighth-grader at Pinelands Regional Junior High School, dedicated his community service project to making birthday party pans for families who seek services at the Family Promise of Southern Ocean County.
The pans contain the cooking oil, cake mix and frosting needed to bake a birthday cake, along with candles, plates and napkins.
