Places To Pick Pumpkins Around The Barnegat Area

BARNEGAT, NJ — It's that time of year again. As Halloween approaches, it's time to get your pumpkin decorations in order. Here are some local farms that can help.

Brookville Farms

Offering pumpkin picking daily through Halloween. The farm is located at 511 Route 72 in Barnegat, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with extended hours Friday and Saturday evenings. Call or text 609-713-1594 for information or directions. Brookville Farms also offers fresh baked goods.

Sassafras Hill Farm

The farm offers pumpkins, plus naturally grown vegetables, fruits, flowers and more. Stop by for some apple cider donuts too. Special kid's events to be announced. Find the farm at 184 Route 72 W, Barnegat. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Sahl's Father Son Farm

This autumn hot spot opens Sept. 28 and features a corn maze (open through Oct. 26), hayrides, animals and more. The farm (420 West Pestalozzi St., Galloway) is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

The farm is open the following hours in October: 4-7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays. Sahl's is closed Sunday through Wednesday but open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Columbus Day.

Argos Farm

Pick your perfect pumpkin and enjoy Argos Farm's assortment of fall fun. Choose from giant or tiny pumpkins, tall or fat ones. You can pick pumpkins during the following hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends through Oct. 27, 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday from Oct. 2-25.

Pumpkins are only 64 cents per pound (cash or charge). Find the farm at 1250 Lacey Rd., Forked River.
