BARNEGAT LIGHT, NJ — You can make some beautiful art with the sand. A Sand Sculpting Contest takes place at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11 on 25th Street Ocean Beach in Barnegat Light.

The contest is open to amateurs only, and the whole family can participate. Ribbons will be awarded.

The rain date is Friday, July 12. For more information, call 609-494-9196.
