Southern Regional Wrestling Repeats As State Champions

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Southern Regional High School captured its second straight state title. The Rams defeated Manalapan, 38-24, to clinch the Group V championship at the RWJBarnabas Health Arena.

Earlier that day, the Rams beat Passaic County Technical School, 63-6, in the semifinal.

Against Manalapan, Southern led, 32-15, with three bouts to go. Robert Woodcock got a pin in 1 minute, 24 seconds to clinch the victory, according to The Press of Atlantic City.
