STAFFORD, NJ — A Waretown man died Sunday morning in a car accident around Nautilus Drive and Waretown Road. The crash took the life of Thomas Ronacher, 27, according to Stafford police.

Police responded to the crash at 6:48 a.m. Sunday. Investigation indicated the crash occurred between 2 and 2:30 a.m., when several neighbors heard a loud bang.

But Ronacher's Jeep Grand Cherokee wasn't visible because of poor lighting and its final resting position, police said. So it was not reported to authorities until later that morning.
