Stranger Things Star Gaten Matarazzo Coming To Manahawkin

The star of Stranger Things is coming to Stafford for a personal cause. Gaten Matarazzo headlines "Gaten's Angels for CCD Smiles 2019," an event raising money for cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD).

Matarazzo, a Little Egg Harbor native who plays Dustin on Stranger Things, has CCD and raises awareness on the condition. CCD is a birth defect that mostly affects the growth of bones and teeth, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

The fundraiser takes place from 3-7 p.m. March 3 at the Holiday Inn Manahawkin/Long Beach Island (151 Route 72 West, Manahawkin). All proceeds support CCD Smiles, which raises awareness for CCD and helps with costs of dental care.

Matarazzo will greet everyone. Individuals can get an autograph and/or a selfie for an additional fee. The fundraiser will also include a buffet, a non-alcoholic cash bar, gift auctions, 50/50s and a door prize. Additional merchandise will be available for purchase.
