Turtle Signs Available For Stafford Residents At Town Hall
Stafford officials have encouraged residents who live near marsh areas to pick up a turtle crossing sign at town hall.

STAFFORD, NJ — Stafford officials have encouraged residents who live near marsh areas to pick up a turtle crossing sign at town hall.
The sign was designed by local student, Nicole Kalooky, as part of Project Terrapin’s artwork contest.
Residents near Mill Creek Road, Newell Avenue, Cedar Run Dock Road and Forsythe Refuge at Cedar Bonnet Island may live in marsh areas where female diamondback terrapins cross roadways to lay their eggs.

“We are requesting your assistance to increase awareness about the terrapin nesting season,” Stafford officials wrote on Facebook. “If you would like to spread the word about the terrapin nesting area, you can pick up a sign at Town Hall that was generously donated by Project Terrapin.”
A limited number of signs are available on a first come, first serve basis.
