Vehicle Overturns In Crash On Route 72 In Manahawkin
Officials took one person to the hospital for minor injuries.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — One vehicle overturned Monday afternoon in a two-car crash on Route 72. Officials took the driver of the overturned vehicle to the hospital for minor injuries, according to Stafford police.
The accident disabled both vehicles in the road when police responded at about 4:20 p.m. Monday. The driver of a 2008 BMW traveled west on Route 72 when it collided with a 2020 Dodge Durango in the intersection of Nautilus Drive, police said.
The Durango driver, moving east, had attempted to make a left turn into Nautilus Drive, police said. The driver turned in front of the BMW right before impact, causing the Durango to overturn, according to authorities.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Officials redirected traffic for about 30 minutes.
Ptl. Bush is investigating the crash. The Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Stafford Township Volunteer EMS also assisted at the scene.
