Waretown Haunted Hayride Fundraiser Returns Oct. 18

The hayride supports Waretown Volunteer Fire Co. #1 and Township of Ocean Founder's Day events.

WARETOWN, NJ — Waretown's annual Haunted Hayride frightens for a good cause. All proceeds benefit the Waretown Volunteer Fire Co. and the Township of Ocean Founder's Day events.

The hayrides take place from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 18 and 18 at Waretown Lake (182 Wells Mills Rd.). Patrons will participate in a 20-minute pulled hayride around the "haunted" Waretown Lake.

Along the way, groups who have entered a skit contest will try to scare you and earn your vote.
