1 Dead, 3 Hurt In Head-On Galloway Crash
A 56-year-old Galloway woman died after she was taken to the hospital.
GALLOWAY, NJ — A head-on crash killed a woman and injured three people Thursday on Route 9. Laila Marak, 56, of Galloway, died from her injuries. All other injuries weren't life-threatening.
A man drove a Ford Expedition northbound on Route 9, just north of Leeds Point Road. Marak was stopped southbound on Route 9, waiting to turn left into Leeds Point Shoppes.
Marak turned into the path of the Expedition. She was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division for serious injuries and was later pronounced dead. The man and his two passengers, which included a 2-year-old, were taken to the ARMC Mainland Division.

The road was closed for two hours. The crash remains under investigation.
