11-Year-Old Girl Pulled From Resort Pool In Brigantine: Police
An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after falling to the bottom of a pool in Brigantine, police said.

BRIGANTINE, NJ — An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after falling to the bottom of a pool in Brigantine, police said.
Brigantine police responded to the Legacy Vacation Resort's pool at 1400 Ocean Ave just before 3:30 p.m. for a report of a missing 11-year-old girl.
Police saw that the pool was cloudy on arrival. Officer Panas checked the water for the missing girl and located her at the bottom of the pool, police said.

Panas swam her to the edge of the pool where Sgt. Devine and Officer Ludy administered CPR, police said.
The girl was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and was later transferred to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Her condition was not immediately available.

An investigation was conducted by Brigantine police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The joint investigation found that the child was playing in the pool area and that this incident was accidental in nature, authorities said.
