2 Drivers Hurt In Galloway Crash After Car Runs Stop Sign: Police

Two people were injured, including a Galloway police officer, after a car ran a stop sign at 2nd Avenue and Upland Avenue on Tuesday morning

GALLOWAY, NJ — Two people were injured, including a Galloway police officer, after a car ran a stop sign on Tuesday morning, Galloway police said.

Connor Morgan, of Port Republic, was traveling west on Upland Avenue at 10:16 a.m. in a 2015 Hyundai when he failed to stop at a stop sign at 2nd Avenue, police said. Morgan collided into a Galloway police car driven by officer Eric Munyon, who was traveling north on 2nd Avenue.

The impact caused both vehicles to come to rest in the yard of a home on 2nd Avenue, police said.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries. Morgan and Munyon were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – City Division for treatment following the crash, police said.

The roadway was shut down for several hours while officers investigated the crash and removed debris. Charges are pending, police said.
