Absegami High School Softball Team Makes State Tournament
The Braves are the No. 6 seed in South Jersey Group 3.
Galloway Township, NJ -- The Absegami High School softball team begins its quest for a South Jersey title at home.
The Braves are the No. 6 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs, according to brackets posted on nj.com on Tuesday.
Absegami will host No. 11 Toms River East in the first round on Monday, May 23. The winner will play the winner of the game between No. 3 Lacey and No. 14 Hammonton in the quarterfinals on May 25.

The semifinals are scheduled for May 31, with the finals at Kean University on June 3.
Absegami is 14-5 this season, but three of those five losses came at the hands of Millville (17-3), the No. 3 seed in the Group 4 tournament.

Absegami’s longest winning streak of the season is eight.
Toms River East is 7-9 this season.
