Atlantic City Casinos Start Taking Hotel Reservations

The State closed casinos March 16 because of the coronavirus.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Casinos remain closed because of the coronavirus, but several Atlantic City casinos began accepting hotel reservations.

Tropicana Caesars and Resorts Casino reservations will start June 7. Hard Rock Hotel's reservations begin June 12, and Ocean Resort Casino will resume stays June 15.

Governor Phil Murphy ordered the closure of casinos March 16 because of the coronavirus restriction. It is uncertain when and how they may reopen.

Atlantic County officials proposed to the State that the Division of Gaming Enforcement and property owners should decide on reopenings. The County estimates that 25,000 casino employees are out of work. Read more: Atlantic County Pushes For Openings In Coronavirus Plan
