Cedar Creek Edges Collingswood in Football Playoff Thriller
The Pirates advanced with a blocked extra point on the final play of the game.

Pat Moran kicked the game-winning extra point and the third-seeded Cedar Creek High School football team blocked a field goal attempt on the game’s final play to defeat No. 6 Collingswood, 21-20, in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group II playoffs on Saturday, according to nj.com.
Moran’s extra point came following a 16-yard touchdown run by Bo Melton in the third quarter. It was Moran’s third of the day, and Melton’s second touchdown run. His first was a 19-yarder in the first quarter. Melton also threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Watson.
Perhaps the most important play Melton made all day was to block the 36-yard field goal attempt with seven seconds left in the game after the Panthers had driven down to the 19-yard line.
