Cedar Creek High School Football Team Seeded Third in Playoffs
The Pirates begin their quest for a South Jersey title on Friday night.

The road to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 football championship goes through West Deptford High School.
The undefeated Eagles (8-0) earned the top seed in the group, and will host No. 8 Overbrook (4-4) in the quarterfinals of the playoffs on Friday night, Nov. 13, 7 p.m., according to unofficial matchups posted on nj.com.
The race for the top seed came down to the final weekend of the season, and appeared to be between West Deptford and Cedar Creek (7-1).

When everything shook out in the end, Cedar Creek had fallen all the way to the No. 3 seed. It will host No. 6 Collingswood (5-3) in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 14, 1 p.m.
The No. 2 seed went to Haddonfield (7-1). The Bulldawgs will host No. 7 Woodstown (6-2) on Friday night, 7 p.m.

Buena (8-1) ended up with the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Cinnaminson (7-1) in the quarterfinals on Friday night.
The semifinals are set for Nov. 20. The championship game is scheduled for Dec. 4.
In a Regional Crossover game (formerly known as the consolation games), Absegami (2-6) will visit Clearview (3-5)Â on Thursday night, 7 p.m.
