This Diner Serves Up NJ's Best Breakfast, People Magazine Says

People Magazine recently released its list of best breakfasts by state. New Jersey's best diner is down in Pleasantville.

A New Jersey diner: is there anything better? It’s practically a state tradition to hit the diner late at night, early in the morning and at lunchtime. The state has even claimed to be the Diner Capital of the World.

Many diners are known for their breakfast, and People Magazine has pegged the very best breakfast in the entire state as coming from South Jersey.

JJ’s Diner in Pleasantville serves up the most popular breakfast in New Jersey according to People’s List of The Most Popular Breakfast in Every State (and Washington, D.C.).

“Friendly service and great prices keep people coming back to this no-frills joint, where the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs gets raves,” the magazine wrote about the diner.

To determine its list, People worked with editors at Yelp to find reviews that focused on breakfast. Those restaurants were then ranked according to a variety of factors, including total volume as well as user feedback and scores. Facebook users also gave the diner rave reviews.

“My experience at JJ Diner was very good. This was my first time eating at the diner,” one user wrote. “The owner was very nice and super friendly. He welcomed us into his establishment with open arms. He also kept us entertained with humor while we wait for a table to be available. The food was very good and serve piping hot-which is excellent.”

“The food was the most enjoyable from-scratch, home-cooking that easily left you feeling full and happy,” another wrote. “It was a small diner, but the warmth from the moment you entered until the time you left was palpable. It’s simple. Eat here. Enjoy life.”

JJ’s opened in 2014 at 610 West Delilah Road, according to its Facebook page. It serves breakfast and lunch, and is open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
