Discount Grocer Lidl Coming To Egg Harbor Township

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — Atlantic County is getting a Lidl. The discount grocer plans to put a new store on Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township.

Lidl US plans to open 10 new stores in the Garden State by the end of 2021. They will announce grand-opening dates for individual stores in the coming months.

The German grocer has 11,000 locations around the world, including more than 100 stores on the East Coast.

But there aren't many in South Jersey. The closest to Atlantic County are in Vineland and Lacey, according to their website. But soon they'll become more prevalent throughout New Jersey. Lidl also plan to open in Bayonne, Brick, Garwood, Glassboro, Gloucester Township, Lawrenceville, Park Ridge, Weehawken and Woodbridge.
