The employee posted 'this is y'all right now,' showing a violent scene from 'Planet of the Apes,' according to The Press of Atlantic City.
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Egg Harbor Township School District is looking into an employee's Facebook post. In the same Wednesday announcement, the district said they don't tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind.
The social media post from a substitute school custodian compared people to a violent scene from "Planet of the Apes," according to The Press of Atlantic City. The post said "This is y'all look right rn (sic). Smh (shaking my head)" and included a YouTube video from the last scene of the 1972 film, according to The Press.
In the scene, Caesar, the leader of the apes, gives a speech about the rise of the apes and humanity's downfall. Then the apes beat to death the human who used to own Caesar.
