This weekend features an array of entertainment to suit every taste, from rock to country to stand up. Catch mentalist and America’s Got Talent contestant Wayne Hoffman, at Trump Taj Mahal through Sunday except for Thursday in Mind Candy. As seen on NBC, CNN, ABC, TLC, CBS, The National Geographic Channel, The Science Channel, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, CNN Money, The Howard Stern Show, The Discovery Network, Hoffman reads the thoughts of audience members, predicts the future, and even travels through time. Crooner Allen Edwards brings his smooth vocal style to Resorts Casino Hotel through Sept. 30.Because of his range, Allen earned the moniker of “The Singer.” His current hit song, “First Woman I Ever Loved” written by songwriter Bill Dees, who wrote the multi-platinum hit “Pretty Woman”, is getting national exposure. One of the pioneers of rap, The Sugarhill Gang, plays Harrah’s Resort on Thursday. They are known for their 1979 hit “Rapper’s Delight,” the first rap single to become a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Art Garfunkel goes solo at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Friday night. The Grammy-winning singer - half of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo, Simon & Garfunkel - will undoubtedly perform his signature hit, “Bridge Over Troubled Waters,” as well as a bunch of solo numbers. Friday also brings in Dylan Fest AC at Dante Hall Theater, a celebration of the music of Bob Dylan.
