Galloway Bans Recreational Marijuana In Township Parks
The Galloway Township Council updated its "no smoking" policy in township recreation areas to include recreational marijuana on Tuesday.
GALLOWAY, NJ — The Galloway Township Council updated its “no smoking” policy in township recreation areas to include recreational marijuana.
In addition to smoking cigarettes, cigars and vaping, smoking marijuana is now prohibited in playground areas and sports fields under the town's current “no smoking” policy.
Residents did not make any comments before the council passed the ordinance on Tuesday, the Press of Atlantic City reports. According to the publication, the council is still deciding how to handle recreational marijuana sales.

State rules and regulations approved in February gave towns 180 days to decide how to regulate cannabis businesses within their borders.
If towns do not act by August, they will be prevented from any ban on recreational marijuana businesses for five years.
