Galloway Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

Winter Storm Jonas brought between two to three feet of snow to New Jersey causing approximately 90,000 power outages and coastal flooding in the southern part of the state.

As of Monday, the State of Emergency has been lifted, power has been restored to most of NJ and bridges and tunnels to New York City have been reopened.

Still, hundreds of New Jersey school districts announced closures and motorists are warned to drive with extra caution.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

  • “Yes, because my wonderful neighbor plows us all out with his backhoe! The town does a preliminary plow of our street, but [he] is the guy who really clears the road and our driveways too!”
  • “ I think the Four Seasons in Smithville is always last on the list. Residents are digging themselves out. ”
  • Very east end of Pennsylvania Ave. [in] Conovertown, we have a township building in our neighborhood, and the plow went around the block.”
