NJ-2 Primary Election Results: Polistina Wins GOP Vote, AP Says

Vince Polistina will face Democrat Vince Mazzeo this November in the race for a seat in the 2nd District of the New Jersey State Senate.

GALLOWAY, NJ — The Associated Press has called Vince Polistina the winner of the Republican primary for a seat representing the 2nd Legislative District in the general election this November, beating out former Senate candidate Seth Grossman.

With 115 of 121 or 95 percent of districts in Atlantic County reporting, Polistina has 68.89 percent of the vote and Grossman has 31.11 percent.

The 2nd Legislative District includes Absecon, Atlantic City, Brigantine, Buena, Buena Vista, Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Township, Folsom, Hamilton (Atlantic), Linwood, Longport, Margate City, Mullica, Northfield, Pleasantville, Somers Point and Ventnor City.
