Seaview Hotel Layoffs Temporary, Hotel Closing For Renovations

The Seaview Hotel will be closing for the winter for renovations and the 229 expected layoffs are temporary.

GALLOWAY, NJ - The Seaview Hotel will be shutting its doors for the winter in the hope of reopening. The Seaview Hotel plans to shut down the for winter months in November to start renovation, with updates scheduled for all around the hotel, according to an article from the Press of Atlantic City.

The Seaview had previously given sixty day notice to 229 workers at the hotel that layoffs were imminent. The Seaview has announced that the layoffs are temporary until the hotel is set to open next Spring, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

The plans for renovations include updates on 296 rooms, and new looks on the lobby, public rooms and pool.

The hotel closure is set to begin on November 26, but the golf course will remain open during the renovations, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
