GALLOWAY, NJ — A Jeep hit a utility pole, overturned onto its roof and trapped a driver Tuesday afternoon in Galloway. Officials helped the man get out, but part of Moss Mill Road was closed for 3.5 hours, police said.

Serge L. Bonnard, of Sicklerville, was driving east on Moss Mill Road at 1:07 p.m. when he lost traction on a curve and hit a guardrail. His Jeep Grand Cherokee hit a utility pole, snapping it in two places.

Bonnard's vehicle overturned onto the roof and stopped in the woods. The extent of his injuries are unknown, police said. Bonnard, 69, received summonses for careless driving and failure to maintain lane, according to authorities.
