Stockton Extends Break, Moves Online As Coronavirus Precaution

All classes will be held online from March 25 to April 5.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Stockton University will extend spring break and move some classes online as precautions for the novel coronavirus. There are not presumptive or confirmed cases of coronavirus at Stockton as of Tuesday afternoon.

Spring break, which begins Sunday, will be extended through March 24. All classes will be held online from March 25 through April 5.

All events scheduled at Stockton location are being reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The University will limit large gatherings.

Additionally, all international travel by faculty, staff and students is canceled until further notice.

Several New Jersey universities have taken precautions amid the coronavirus spread.

Princeton University will move to online classes after spring break and will cut back on campus gatherings. Two staff members are under self-quarantine after possibly being exposed to the virus. Read more: 2 Princeton University Staffers Possibly Exposed To Coronavirus

Rutgers University canceled classes through March 23 — the end of spring break — and will teach all classes online until at least April 3. Monmouth University cancelled classes until March 23 after a student reported feeling flu-like symptoms.
