Stockton Sponsors Free Naturalization Classes in Hammonton and Atlantic City

The Stockton Center for Community Engagement sponsors naturalization classes this fall in Hammonton and Atlantic City.

The Stockton Center for Community Engagement will sponsor free naturalization classes at university sites in Hammonton and Atlantic City beginning this fall.

Classes in how to become a U.S. citizen will begin on Sept. 14 at Kramer Hall, 30 Front St., Hammonton, and continue on Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., through Dec. 14.

Classes at the Carnegie Center, 35 S. Dr. MLK Blvd. in Atlantic City, will begin on Sept. 15 and continue on Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., through Dec. 15.

Classes will also be offered in the spring, with dates to be announced in January.

“Part of the mission of the SCCE is to strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility. Offering naturalization classes speaks to our commitment to strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility,” said Merydawilda Colon, executive director of the center, in a press release.

No prior registration is necessary. The naturalization classes will be facilitated by SCCE Student Fellows Briana Simon and Alejandra Londono. Class materials will come from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at www.uscis.gov/citizenship.
