Stockton University Appoints Manahawkin man as Chief Information Officer

Stockton University has tapped Manahawkin resident Bob Heinrich as the new Chief Information Officer.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Stockton University has tapped Manahawkin resident Bob Heinrich as the new Chief Information Officer. Heinrich will also serve as a member of the president’s cabinet.
According to university acting president, Harvey Kesselman, the Hackettstown native provides a “strategic vision for information technology that will align with and enhance Stockton University’s mission.”
A member of the Stockton community for 19 years, Heinrich manages the university’s computing facilities and supporting instructional and information resources, as well as the central IT budget. He is implementing a $1.5 million Higher Education Equipment Leasing Fund Bond initiative for the development of virtualized desktop infrastructure and electronic classroom upgrades with funding from the New Jersey Building Our Future Bond Act.
“The establishment of the Chief Information Officer under the university president will facilitate promoting the importance of IT within the institution and reinforce it as a shared resource to all members of the university,” Heinrich said. “I am so fortunate to lead such a dedicated, technically skilled and highly motivated team.”
Heinrich is an adjunct faculty member at Stockton and Ocean County Community College. He regularly conducts technology workshops for Stockton’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies; the Southern Regional Institute & Educational Technology Training Center and the New Jersey Education Association.
He also serves as a member of the Atlantic County Technology Coordinators board and the Atlantic County Institute of Technology advisory board. He served for three years as a member of the Board of Education in the Little Egg Harbor School District.
In addition to his role at Stockton, Heinrich has served as a consultant for several K-12 school districts and other higher education institutions to assist with technology and infrastructure planning.
Heinrich received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems and a M.B.A. from Stockton University. He and his wife, Tammy, have five children.
