Stockton University To Hold 8 Graduations For Class of 2020

GALLOWAY, NJ — It's a few months late and in eight different parts, but Stockton University's class of 2020 will finally get outdoor graduation ceremonies. Stockton will hold eight commencements Friday on the Galloway campus.

The university held an online commencement in May because of coronavirus restrictions. But they promised graduates they would hold live ceremonies in the fall if they could.

Stockton's 1,200 graduations will don caps and gowns for Friday's socially distanced ceremonies. Each will get held an hour apart in parking lot 3 across from the Campus Center and parking lot 5 by the Athletic Center.

The event is for graduates and invited guests only. Face coverings are required.

Zakiya Smith Ellis — Governor Phil Murphy's chief policy advisory and New Jersey's former secretary of higher education — will speak at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony on lot 5.
